Project Summary:
The 2024 Ford Annual Dealer Meeting (ADM) marked a turning point for Ford UK’s dealer network. Facing rapid industry changes with the shift to electric vehicles, evolving consumer demands, and increased competition, Ford recognised the need to spark pride and build confidence in its ambitious vision for the future.
So - to inspire its dealer network - we helped Ford transform the meeting from a passive presentation into an active, immersive experience that fostered relationships, with a new concept called Into The Blue.
Besides key updates, attendees explored products, innovations and customer journeys through theatre-style sets with live actors, while intimate sessions used headsets to guide attendees through displays and content. A dedicated app centralised key information, ensuring seamless navigation of the event. Standing sessions encouraged movement and interaction, keeping attendees energised and connected throughout. This dynamic approach ensured dealers felt integral to Ford’s future, not just as participants, but as active partners in its success.
Role:
3D Design Lead
As Joint Design Director, my main responsibilities during this event were to help shape the overall design concept and environment design for the event. Collaborating closely with a creative designer, helping curate the 3D visual identity, stage set and immersive experiences.
Working with the technical team and contractors to produce detailed drawing packs that translated the creative vision, addressing practical constraints such as space, car placements, and material considerations.
Additionally, I created comprehensive build and furniture / propping decks that tracked every design asset per experience, ensuring a seamless handoff between design and onsite production teams.
Throughout the build and live event, I was onsite providing hands-on oversight, resolving design challenges in real time, and ensuring that every detail met the high standards of quality and aesthetic integrity we set out to achieve.
