Project Summary:
Back in 2009, we worked with Samsung Mobile to create and launch the original Unpacked platform. Since then, Unpacked has become a highly anticipated event in the technology sector, attracting journalists, influencers and consumers; all keen to see a preview of the very latest mobile technology.
In 2024, Samsung decided to embrace the excitement of the Summer Games by bringing Unpacked to Paris, just before the opening ceremony. Leveraging the wonder of the iconic venue, Les Salles du Carouse, underneath the Louvre, we brought to life the launch of Samsung’s latest devices, which included the Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6, Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Buds3 and the all-new Galaxy Ring alongside the new limited-edition products inspired by the Summer Games.
An in-person audience of 1,032 journalists and influencers watched a series of reveals and presentations, perfectly complimented by large-scale immersive content, before heading to a product experience zone. Here, they could get hands-on with the devices themselves and, importantly, create their own content for their readers and followers.
In addition to the extensive press coverage, social shares and mentions, a staggering 23m+ viewers watched the keynote on YouTube.
Role:
3D Design Lead
My main responsibilities within this project were to lead the design and development of the stage set and product experience zones.
I collaborated closely with the Creative Director from initial 3D concept development to final execution, overseeing the creation of floorplans, renders and flythrough animations by managing a small team of visualisers.
Along with designing the immersive, interactive product experience zones that showcased Samsung’s latest devices, enhancing audience engagement and enabling journalists and influencers to create their own content through interactive experiences.
