Project Summary:
Extravaganza is Herbalife’s much-anticipated celebration of their global community; an annual opportunity to share product knowledge and recognise success.
Although the world was still in the midst of the COVID pandemic, Herbalife were keen to find a solution that brought people together - no matter where they were - and delivered on the energy of an Extravaganza event.
So, with that objective in mind, we designed, developed, scripted and produced five broadcast days, which represented a total of 15 hours of content, filming live across 3 studio locations (London, Lisbon and Monaco). Each location had multiple hosts, segments and speakers and, in an effort to make the Herbalife community feel included, a virtual live audience was featured a number of times during the broadcast.
The diverse content included theatrical product launches, music performances and fundraising challenges, alongside business presentations, training and member recognition. Additionally, in pre-production, we shot 30 pre-records in 17 countries.
Role:
3D Design Lead
This role involved leading the design of the main studio stage set for the broadcast, establishing the central creative vision and ensuring its execution across all studio locations. Directing junior team members in the development of the satellite studio sets in Portugal and Monaco, maintaining consistency and cohesion across all locations. Creating visual presentations to communicate the concept and secure client approval, along with detailed drawing packs, in collaboration with Vagabond Design Studio to accurately capture the stage’s complex, sweeping architecture.
Working alongside the graphic designer, a range of colour and lighting variations were explored and presented to illustrate the evolving visual identity throughout different broadcast segments. During filming, on-site support was provided in collaboration with the art department to address any urgent design needs or last-minute adjustments.
